Risk transference

A risk management strategy in which the responsibility or financial burden of a risk is shifted onto a third party instead of the organization bearing it entirely on its own. Typical examples are taking out a cyber insurance policy or using a cloud platform to which part of the security responsibility for the infrastructure is transferred.
