Vulnerability management

Zero-day vulnerability zero-day

A vulnerability that is unknown to the vendor and for which no patch or signature yet exists. Classic scanners have a hard time finding it because they rely on databases of already-known vulnerabilities, and this one has not yet been cataloged.
