Compliance and third-party risk

Attestation

Attestation is a formal, often written and signed statement confirming that controls and processes comply with a certain standard or requirement. It can be internal (self-attestation) or external (e.g. an independent auditor confirming compliance) and serves as evidence to regulators and partners.
