Cryptography

Trusted platform module (TPM) TPM

A dedicated cryptographic chip on the motherboard that securely stores keys, certificates and system integrity measurements. It is the basis for disk encryption (e.g. BitLocker) and for verifying the integrity of the system boot (measured boot).
