Data loss prevention (DLP) DLP

A set of tools that monitor and prevent the unauthorized removal of sensitive data, protecting against deliberate leaks (theft, insider) and accidental leaks (user error). Network DLP monitors data in transit at the network level, endpoint DLP monitors actions on the device (USB, printing, copying), and both depend on classification to tell them what is sensitive.
