Defense techniques

Air gap

A security measure in which a system is completely physically separated from all other networks, with no wired or wireless connection whatsoever. Its main drawback is extremely difficult management and updating, because data and patches must be transferred manually (e.g. via USB media), which is impractical and can introduce new threats.
